Frequently Asked Questions
When should I book my maternity and newborn sessions?
I recommend reserving both maternity and newborn sessions early in your pregnancy. Maternity portraits are usually scheduled between 29–36 weeks, when your bump is beautifully round and you’re still comfortable.
For newborn sessions, most families secure their spot during the second or third trimester. If your baby has already arrived and you haven’t booked yet, feel free to reach out, I may still be able to fit you in.
What is the ideal age for newborn photos?
Newborn portraits are best captured when your baby is 5–21 days old. At this stage, babies tend to be sleepier, curl naturally, and have that dreamy newborn look you see in my portfolio.
After the 3-week mark, sessions are still possible, but poses and results may differ slightly. Older newborns are often more alert and less flexible, so I prepare more swaddled setups and awake images.
Do you offer in-home newborn sessions?
At this time, all newborn sessions take place in my Dubai studio, where I have full control over lighting, temperature, styling, and safety. Sessions are held in the morning, when babies are typically more settled.
How do I book a newborn session?
You can contact me by completing the form on my website’s Book Now page. I respond within 24 hours with availability and details.
To hold your date, a non-refundable retainer is required. Once your baby arrives, simply message me within the first few days, and we’ll confirm your final session date. I’ll then send a preparation guide so you know exactly what to expect.
Do you provide props, outfits, and accessories?
Yes, the studio is fully stocked with high-end props, wraps, newborn outfits, maternity gowns, blankets, bonnets, headbands, backdrops, and more. You don’t need to bring anything unless you have something special you’d like to include.
When will I receive my photos?
Your color-corrected digital gallery will be ready in about two weeks. You’ll then select your favorite images for artistic retouching. Edited photos are delivered within an additional two weeks after your selections are submitted.
How long does a newborn session last?
Newborn sessions usually take up to 3 hours, depending on how much your baby needs to feed, settle, or be changed. I allow plenty of time so the session never feels rushed because a calm atmosphere always leads to the best images.
What can I expect during the newborn session?
Before your session, I’ll ask about your preferred colors and styling so I can create setups that match your taste. You’re welcome to send inspiration images from my portfolio.
When you arrive, the studio will be warm for baby’s comfort, and all props and fabrics will be fully sanitized. You can relax while I gently pose and photograph your little one. Water and light refreshments are provided, and you are welcome to bring your own snacks.
I typically create four beautifully styled setups, along with close-up detail photos. If you have other children, we’ll start with sibling and family portraits first. Afterward, it’s often helpful for one parent to take the sibling home or for a short break so we can focus on the newborn portion.
A peaceful environment is essential for newborn photos, so I use soft white noise to help keep your baby calm and sleepy throughout the session.
What is your rescheduling or cancellation policy?
If anyone in your family becomes ill, please contact me as soon as possible so we can choose a new date. If I am unwell, I will notify you and reschedule, your baby’s safety is always my top priority.
